TV Show Review: Daredevil

It's another TV show review.... Gash I'm super excited to share this one with you all because when I first watched it, I had no idea I was going to love it as much as I do! Due to popular debate, there have been some mixed thoughts and opinions, but I figured it was time to put my review skills to the test and give my honest and full thoughts about this show.

But first let me....

Say thanks to all of the bloggers, friends, and people who told me to watch this show from the start and commented on my blog post about the shows I wanted to watch. I took your advice, as I always do because I trust you folks, believe it or not. I should really take your guys' advice more often.

Daredevil follows the plot of young Matt Murdoch and starts off when he pushes a man out of the street from an incoming truck accident. The truck drops its cargo on Matt, which actually turns out to be radioactive chemicals leaving poor little Matt blind. Not only is he blind, but the chemicals actually grant him these heightened senses where he doesn't even need his eyes to see because his other senses do the job just fine. He can do extremely cool and weird things like smell a cigarette from a block away, tell you how many days you haven't watched your hair, and hear conversations from far away that aren't supposed to be heard. As he grows up and becomes a man his abilities grow as well and he realizes that with these new powers, he can do great things and bring people to justice. He becomes the "masked man", a crime-fighting attorney of the law by day and a masked vigilante by night.

  • Let me be frank and say that I will love any MARVEL production and have a soft spot for them in my heart. I particularly enjoy how they're based off of comics.
  • Daredevil is such a unique show because we've never seen a TV show where the main character is a kick-butt superhero and yet he's blind!! His abilities didn't make much sense to me at first but I soon got to understand and love his character.
  • Charlie Cox, playing Matt Murdoch, actually played as Tristan in Neil Gaiman's adaptation of Stardust
  • The best action and fighting scenes just like the ones in the Avengers movie. I swear, it's so comparable and similarly awesome!
  • As always, the hot main star, Matt Murdoch. He's just so mysterious and intriguing. *whispers* Plus the producers like to show a lot of abs (just saying...)
Flaws
I didn't want to say dislikes because there was really nothing I disliked about the show.
  • Each episode runs for 1-hour. It's kind of longer than most TV shows on the network but I would expect nothing less from an action MARVEL thriller.
  • Love is not prevalent. Sorry ladies (and men). If you're looking for a romantic action show with a lot of making out and chilling in bed, this might not be the show for you. This show is more focused on other things like revenge, morals, justice, and the law.
  • PERSONAL OPINION: I just hated the protagonist haha...
Yay or nay?

Hell freaking yes! (Sorry for all my curses lately. I'm a teenager girl who learns from the world around her lmfao). This is a show you should be keeping your eye on, ladies and gentlemen. And if you haven't started it, what are you waiting for? I've given tons of advice for TV shows and books, maybe enough to say you can trust me on this, okie? Thanks for reading, and I really hope you love this show as much as I do.

WE NEED AN UPGRADE!

The Book's Buzz is officially under construction mode!

I mentioned it in my birthday post but this site is getting another theme redone by the wonderful Hazel @ Stay Bookish. She's agreed to help me fix my sidebars and clean up the theme of this blog to make it look more fun and exciting. I'm still keeping the banner made by Livia @ Butterfly-o-Meter Designs, who's been responsible for most of the amazing work you've seen on the site before. Summer is almost here, and I'm going to be on vacation a lot so I'd like something new for you guys to look at while I'm away, ya know, to distract you guys!

I, myself, am heading into this really messy messy week of finals and regents so I'll be cramming like there's no tomorrow, trying to fit in reading some books every now and then. I know it's going to be pretty much impossible to post everyday, but I've never let you guys done, and I'm not starting now!

Moving on to other things...

Youtube. GAHHH I need better camera quality and better thumbnails. I'm probably getting a new camera (when I get the money for it), but I'm excited to see where this channel takes me. I have a huge BEA and Birthday Book haul for the channel so if you'd like to see that then you can follow my channel around :D

And if you have a channel, link it below and I'd love to follow some new booktubers :D

But basically this was just an update because you might see some coding glitches (due to my horrible skills in coding) and because I love keeping you guys updated!

So please bear with me for the new changes and me just trying to cope with all the stress!

Neil Gaiman's Stardust meets John Green's The Fault in Our Stars in this fantasy about a girl caught between two worlds... two races... and two destinies.
Aza Ray is drowning in thin air.

Since she was a baby, Aza has suffered from a mysterious lung disease that makes it ever harder for her to breath, to speak- to live.

So when Aza catches a glimpse of a ship in the sky, her family chalks it up to a cruel side effect of her medication. But Aza doesn't think this is a hallucination. She can hear someone on the ship calling her name.

Only her best friend, Jason, listens. Jason, who's always been there. Jason, for whom she might have more-than-friendly feelings. But before Aza can consider that thrilling idea, something goes terribly wrong. Aza is lost to our world- and found, by another. Magonia.

Above the clouds, in a land of trading ships, Aza is not the weak and dying thing she was. In Magonia, she can breathe for the first time. Better, she has immense power- and as she navigates her new life, she discovers that war is coming. Magonia and Earth are on the cusp of a reckoning. And in Aza's hands lie the fate of the whole of humanity- including the boy who loves her. Where do her loyalties lie?

LOOK AT THE COVER. JUST LOOK AT IT. LOOK AT IT FOR TWO SECONDS, THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING.

What did you see?

Did you see an amazing and spectacular cover, as I did?

After reading ACOTAR, I was immersed into this giant reading slump where I tried to pick up several books, but none matched up to the great potential of Sarah J. Maas' new fantasy thriller. I was compelled to pick Magonia up by the cover and was surprised to say that the synopsis even sounded great and promising, honestly something I was looking forward to. I could tell this book was special, and I was going to enjoy it!

105 pages later...

The pacing of this book was surprising slow. I would imagine a fantasy book to be pretty fast, with twists and turns at every corner. I didn't feel it with this one and I usually made it only 10 pages at the most, but had to stop and put the book down to do something else. At school, I wasn't overly eager to pick the book back up, which is important because I should be excited about what I'm reading. The pace was disappointing and because of that, I only made it 105 pages in.

The characters were off too. I felt pity for Aza because she couldn't breath well and all, but she did little in reaching out to the readers as an enjoyable person when all she did was mope and hope for a better life. Main protagonists and heroines are supposed to be all in for adventure and tenacious! I just thought Aza was a weak character that didn't give me so much to think about.

I am in no way badmouthing this book because I commended a few things that the author succeeded in. Headley drew me in with her idea of Aza escaping to a new world to find her voice and breath. I thought the idea was extremely beautiful, just communicated in a weird and awkward way. A synopsis that exquisite should really be accounted for!

Magonia is a book all fantasy and other dimensional world lovers should try. It just wasn't the book for me because of the lacking in pace and the weak connection with the characters.

Birthday Post | Thanks to the Blogging Family + New Things?

The title of this post is misleading because I really started my blog on April 15th. I wasn't able to post then but today is my actual birthday so I compiled the two birthdays into one exciting post for ya'll! I was originally going to do a giveaway, like all the other bloggers do on their blogoversary, but I had neither the time or the money to send out a package, and for that I'm terribly sorry!

To the people I'd like to thank for making this 1 year experience a worthy one...

1. The Bloggers
You guys are my inspiration and the only people that I'm comfortable being silly and crazy around. I know we don't formally know each other in real life, but on our computers, on our little blogs, we rule the world! You guys are family, and the best thing about our relationship is that we never let one another down. When I'm too old to blog, I'm remember you guys as the ones that made me smile and fangirl endlessly. Thank you 1,000,000x over and over again!

2. The Authors
I don't know where I'd be at this point if it wasn't for you guys, who are the real MVPs! Your books constantly keep me away from reality and immersed into your worlds that once started out perhaps on a napkin in a restaurant. Your characters have become my friends and your plot twists have become my burdens. Thank you thank you thank you, authors, for writing such amazing books.

3. Family and Friends
You're my support group and life line. All I've ever wanted to do was read and buy books 24/7 but you totally stuck by me and believed in what I wanted to achieve. I can't say that I got anywhere but I am going somewhere, and that's because of you.

4. Booktubers
Every booktuber deserves to be commended because of your bravery and courage. I rememeber when I uploaded my first video to Youtube, and I was completely in disbelief, just terrified! Now that I've been doing it for a short amount of time, I love the rush and feeling when I finally get something posted. Hugs and kisses for also being a huge inspiration!

Summer is coming and with all this free time, I really feel like it's time to do some "summer redesign". Yup, you guessed it! I'm going to be having Hazel @ Stay Bookish I've my blog a coding makeover. I just want her to fix up the sidebars and clean up the theme. I'm still 100% keeping the header that I'm in love with, made by Livia @ Butterfly-o-Meter Designs. She's been my standing designer for most of my career on this blog, so it's time to switch it up a little. This will start to happen after BEA and Bookcon, so keep an eye on the blog!

That was my only surprise hehe..

The synopsis of this book had intrigued me beyond belief, and I literally couldn't wait to dive into it. The cover and theme of this book seemed to take place in an Arabian-esque setting. The thing that really captured me about this book was the synopsis, which was completely terrifying but arousing at the same time. After finishing this book, I'm literally speechless at the moment to the point of which I can't even comprehend. There are tears, yes, tears. So without further ado, here is my review for this glorious book.

Rachel from A Perfect Called Books wrote a review on this book even before I got my hands on it and got me going crazy about reading it! Check her review here! It's awesome, just check it out because it'll give you the feels.
At each night, the mysterious Caliph of Khorason takes on a new bride only to have her killed at dawn, with a single silk cord wound around her neck. The happenings of this strange ruler and an enigma to everyone and especially to the family of the bride. Of course, everyone has growing suspicious when a brave girl, Shahrzad, volunteers to be his next wife. What they don't know is that Shahrzad has a growing and burning plot for revenge and justice awaiting in the deepest parts of her mind.
The story, the plot, the twists and turns, it was all so freaking beautiful! Let me tell you that this book, along with others like The Book Thief and Jane Austen, was exquisitely written, with a voice that I thought was so strongly opinionated and riled up with emotions. Ahdieh's voice is a mix of broken, tortured, and innocent, all at the same time. I loved the parts in which she was vulnerable along with those of dark and secretive motives. Beautiful, extraordinary, splendid! She's able to alternate voices and tones so easily, even though this is just a debut novel.

Not only will the story make you cry, it'll make you laugh, blow steam out of your ears, and blush!
First before I talk about out main protagonist, Shahrzad, I want to talk about the Caliph of Khorason, Khalid, who may seem pretty strange to you guys if you've read the synopsis. Most people know him as the "monster that killed many girls without reason" or a "young boy-king that doesn't understand the duties of a ruler" but behind the facade that he puts on to his noblemen, guards, and his people, he's just a young king looking for a way out of a terrible predicament. I liked Khalid's character- a mysterious yet brooding young man that was totally being misunderstand by people. Basically, there was so much more beneath Khalid's character than what everybody saw.

Shahrzad was like the bravest main protagonist in YA history! Not only did she risk her life to save her brother, but she risked her life by loving the Caliph of Khorason!! A cunning character who asks fast on instinct and doesn't show fear when things come unexpectedly. Lovers of Katniss, Tris, and Laia from An Ember in the Ashes will love the new character Shazi!
Romance is a blossoming flower in this novel. Shazi's relationship with Khalid in the beginning is full of resent and hatred. It isn't until she stays with the Caliph for about a week, does she begin to realize his true intentions for killing off these poor, innocent girls and for being a monster. She, instead, feels sorry for him and begins to fall in love with him herself. It's an epic love story that evolves from beginning to end and doesn't stop surprising you. A romance with a little bit of action at every turn is truly favorable.

Love was a huge weakness for both Khalid and Shazi. Shazi was supposed to die on the first sunrise but Khalid's curiosity with her made him weak and so she survived the first sunrise. Ohh believe me when I tell you this... Khalid fell, and he fell hard! Love always prevails, and I particularly liked how it was shown in this book. If you're one for sappy and growing romances, this book will satisfy every bit of your needs.

The Wrath and the Dawn is a book with a promising plot that follows a monster and a strong-willed female, looking for revenge. Romance is the main focus of the story, with blossoming love/hate relationships. A tender and passionate main love interest. A twisting and turning plot that evokes the feels. YOU WILL LOVE IT! Without a doubt, a five star read and higher if only I had more stars to give D:

TV Shows That Should Be Uncancelled

There are a bunch of TV shows that have been cancelled over the years. R.I.P to many of their fandoms and the people that totally worshiped the shows until they were cancelled. Personally, I feel it unfair for TV shows to be cancelled because it shatters the fans that adore it. I was completely shattered when some of my fav shows were announced to be cancelled. Ahem, ahem THE CW, who is notorious for cancelling shows over time!

1. The Secret Circle

2. Helix
An interesting case indeed. If you guys didn't know, I raved about this show on my review and said it was the "best horror/gore-filled TV show" I ever saw! Helix was renewed for season 2, but 2 seasons are all this show is going to get in the meantime, as it has just been cancelled. It is not being renewed for a 3rd season because there are just not enough people watching, and the movie takes a lot of $ to put together.

3. Resurrection
A TV show about people being mysteriously resurrected from their graves by an enigmatic source, doesn't that intrigue you beyond belief? Doesn't it make you want to find out why all these people are being resurrected? I was dying to find out until it was cancelled, and I just put on my derp face and cursed the producers.

4. The Carrie Diaries
I need this light chick-lit to wash away the reality of my life. I thought it was doing fine and at the time, it had a stable amount of fans to keep it going. I actually have no idea why it was cancelled but nonetheless, it should be renewed for fans of lighthearted chick-lits.

5. Revenge
Emily Thorne was given 4 season to get revenge on the people that framed and killed her father. 4 seasons is not bad AT ALL. 4 seasons is actually rare for a show with this type of story line and plot. After watching a few seasons, I think it definitely should have gone on for longer because of how much was missing from the potential twists and story.

6. Star-Crossed
My review highlighted the greatest parts of this show, along with my never-ending anger to why it was cancelled only after one season. This show followed a group of aliens that come down to earth, and the humans decide to integrate them into the population in hope that they can coexist and share their ideas and cultures. Of course, we always have those who agree with the transition and those that are angered by the possibility of allowing aliens to live among humans. My thoughts can be found in the review link here, but basically if you haven't watched it, watch it!!

7. Being Human
I didn't do full and in-depth review, which I really should, but I consider this one of the best vampire and supernatural TV shows to have ever hit the network. The show is hilarious, sexy, and filled with so much more potential if only it was given one more season. Yes, this show stopped after one season. OMG and that season 1 ending, what the hell. The producers literally threw a bomb in my heart and left me for dead.

Were any of your favorite TV shows cancelled?

Mina is seventeen. A virgin. And pregnant.

Mina is top of her class, girlfriend to the most ambitious guy in school, able to reason and study her way through anything. But when she suddenly finds herself pregnant- despite having never had sex- her orderly world collapses. Almost nobody believes Mina's claims of virginity. Her father assumes that her boyfriend is responsible; her boyfriend believes she must have cheated on him. As news of Mina's story spreads, there are those who brand her a liar. There are those who brand her a heretic. And there are those who believe that miracles are possible- and that Mina's unborn child could be the greatest miracle of all.

Get it now!

This book's just on fire! It has thus far impressed me with its cover, synopsis, and it's writing. If you're new to my blog you should know that I don't go for contemporaries often, but when I do find one in particular, I usually really enjoy it! Immaculate was one of those very few. By weaving an intriguing story of how just one thing could change everything in your life, Katelyn Detweiler has shown us the light and the dark of Mina's predicament and how sometimes, unwanted miracles are the greatest miracles of all. So definitely stay for the review if you're interested.

With the premise, we have some weird scene that goes on in the first chapter of the book. Mina is serving tables late at night and a woman she doesn't recognize claims to know her. The old woman says some crazy batshit and Mina get's all scared. She literally says, "You're going to be having a baby" but I guess it wasn't so clear to Mina at the start because she accepts whatever it is to get away from the woman.

No spoilers in saying the main character gets unexpectedly pregnant. She doesn't know how she got pregnant or who the father is, but she's 100% she is still a virgin and wasn't raped by any means. She suddenly starts puking, having headaches, cold sweats, and has a sudden urge to eat everything on the table. Our main character, Mina, is in a huge shock after her friends tell her that those are all symptoms of pregnancy and that she should take a pregnancy test. Of course, she takes one and finds that she is really pregnant, despite how many times she tries to tell herself that she isn't. And her life changes from there...

The Good
  • The author definitely knows what she's talking about when it comes to pregnancy. Everything felt so real!! The book was split up into different trimesters, which I thought was so creative and fun to see how time passes by. I also learned a little bit about the process of the ultrasound.
  • I liked how Mina's whole world crumbles the moment her doctor tells her that she is 100% pregnant. Mina's entire life falls apart in one split second and it suddenly feels like it can never be pieced together.
  • The writing is so beautiful! It made me cringe at the shocking parts and just bawl my eyes out when something sad happened. It evoked my emotions!
The Mediocre
  • This type of book is definitely not for everyone! Heed my warning because we get into some serious topics- pregnancy, motherhood, sex, morals, relationships between her lovers and her parents.
Mina, our main protagonist, is a book lover, guys. There are a bunch of HP references and book-related topics. She's an A student with the perfect boyfriend and she's got her whole life cut out for her. I think Mina has made one of the biggest and greatest transitions ever, for a literary character. Mina accepts the baby and decides to keep it even though she knows the consequences and that, yes, some people will not be pleased with her. In the beginning she seems as if the type that worries about what everyone thinks about her and how she needs to be hanging out with the right kind of people. However, in the end, she discovers the truth about how much the baby has changed her. She's fighting for a new life with the right people supporting her.

We have Jesse and Hannah, two unbelievable friends who have stuck by Mina no matter what obstacle she faced. They're both not afraid of being seen with the "pregnant virgin girl" or "Menius", which actually means Mina + Genius. How neat is that!

The characters weren't stale and we get to see their worst sides in this book. Nobody's perfect but hey, at least we got to see that! I think the best part was finding out how all the characters' reaction to Mina being pregnant. It was priceless and it also helped to differentiate those who would stand by her and those who didn't truly love her. Wonderful character development, I really loved it!
You would expect there to be so much romance in a book about pregnancy, but there really was little to none. I think the book was trying to push the meaning of romance away with all the other issues that were brought out, which was kind of engaging to see in a debut contemporary novel.

This book and story, overall, has just gone beyond what is considered YA. Definitely a more serious and intense novel but great for any reader ready to take on a new challenge of a life-changing and alluring read! Immaculate is eccentric in its own way and sets the stage for a new type of genre.

Miss Katelyn Detweiler was so sweet as to agree to do an interview with me about her book. I was so enthralled in her story and I needed the answers to so many of my questions!

1. When the media finds out that Mina is pregnant but she's still a virgin, she reacts by telling the media that she doesn't quite understand what's happening to her. She acts confused when really, the truth is underneath everything- that she is carrying a baby with no father. At this point in the book, did you create Mina to be afraid for the media to know the truth or that she, herself, was afraid to accept the truth? Hm. This is an interesting question. I think she’s very afraid of both things, really. She’s afraid for the media—and through them, the rest of her town, the country, the world even—to think she’s “crazy.” She doesn’t want the world to think she’s lying, even if she deep down knows she’s not. I think a lot of this fear stems from her still struggling with her own thoughts on everything—coming to terms with this very bizarre, this very momentous new reality. Until she’s really comfortable with herself, it’s difficult for her to be anywhere close to comfortable with other people hearing and judging her story.
2. I know this is asked a lot but what was your true inspiration for writing this story?
This book 100% came out of a conversation I had with my mom a good decade or so ago—when I asked her if she’d believe me if I said I was a pregnant virgin, and she said yes. She would believe me. This idea stuck, that sometimes trust and faith and love for another person overrides the doubt and the logic. That sometimes, if we really, really love someone, the impossible can become more possible. The mother-daughter connection in this story—between both Mina and her mom, and the reverse of that, Mina and her unborn baby—is one of my favorite pieces of IMMACULATE.
3. Immaculate. What's the story behind the title?
The title was actually the easiest part for me. I had a Word document saved for the longest time that only had four words: IMMACULATE by Katelyn Detweiler. It felt like a start, at least. (Or so I told myself!) I knew from the beginning that this would be a modern-day twist on the story of the Virgin Mary and the Immaculate Conception. It’s the belief that some have that Mary was born sinless, marked from the very beginning for the miracle that was to come. As you know from reading, this isn’t a religious book—more spiritual, I’d say—but it still comes back to the idea of being “immaculate.” Clean, perfect, unblemished, pure. This is in many ways how I view Mina at the start—both in the way she sees herself, and how her friends, family, and classmates see her. It’s her flawless reputation that makes her story all the more interesting.
4. Last question: If Iris came to you and asked if you accepted, what would be your answer?
I love this question. I think I’d be torn between two different urges—to say whatever I had to say in the moment to get away from the creepy stranger who was asking; and to say whatever I had to say to get to the bottom of all the weirdness, because my curiosity usually overrides everything else. And I think in this case, the answer would be the same for both goals: Yes.
Are you gonna read Immaculate? You should!

A thrilling, seductive new series from New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas, blending Beauty and the Beast with faerie lore.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin- one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled the world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy to hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it... or doom Tamlin- and this world-forever.

Perfect for fans of Kristin Cashore and George R.R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

Get it now!

It's no surprise to any of you who have read my blog for a while that I have a burning love for Sarah J. Maas. My need for her writing is like rain to a dessert or even candy to Willy Wonka!! The Throne of Glass is undoubtedly one of my favorite series ever and she just has a way with writing fantasy books. I approach her books differently from how I normally read other books. I have a hand full of post-its and tissues because I know the feel waves are coming.

I had heard that this was a Beauty and the Beast retelling, and I honestly have to say that I saw the smallest snippets of the theme throughout the book. Okay, to be kind of obvious, there was a "beauty" and a "beast". Faerie lores. Can we just talk about them for a second? Sarah J. Maas set up a wonderful and amazing world of faeries and humans co-existing, to say the least. Some humans have a deep hatred for the faeries and some faeries feel the same way. What I find that Maas does best is world-building and plot organization. She can write a fantasy book with hard-to-pronounce words and keep you from being confused or hindered from enjoying the story, all at the same time. Like this story and plot was so kick-ass. I LOVED IT SO SO SO MUCH, MORE THAN THE THRONE OF GLASS SERIES. I COULD EVEN DO THE PEACOCK SPIDER DANCE FOR THIS AMAZING AND WELL-BUILT PLOT!

There is a ton of lore and information behind why her society is built this way and she does a perfect way of getting it out there, without the info dumps and the well-known insta love. Like what else do you want me to say that will convince you to read this book? If you're a daring contemporary reader who wants to live on the wild side for a bit, try a Sarah J. Maas book and see how easily you begin to fall in love with the fantasy genre.

We've got our fast-paced that will get you reading and into the book right away, to ensure a clean and easy finish in just one or two sittings!
We've not only got an author who's great on world-building but as well as character development and construction. Our main character, Feyre (Fay-ruh), was such an independent individual who didn't need any man in her life to protect her. She made an honest living, hunting animals in the forest for cash to keep the promise that she made her mom to never let her family starve. She grew so much in the book that it wasn't right to say that Feyre was the same person anymore by the end of the book. She has put her life on the line many times throughout the story, for the ones she loved and understands the fine line between want and need.

Sarah J. Maas knows hot and mysterious guys just as she knows how to read the alphabet. Pure genius! After reading Throne of Glass, I was slobbering and yearning for more Chaol Westfall and now this book's got me worked up on Tamlin, the sexy and an enigma of an High Immortal Fae Lord. The mystery comes from the mask that has been bound to his face because of a curse, but of course, that doesn't keep the ladies from falling in love with his charms and that Greek sculpture of a body. Her characters are superbly described from head to toe, just as if he/she was standing next to you and you could see all the features!

My favorite part of the book! I use pink post-its to distinguish the romantic scenes in the book and by the time I was finished reading, my copy was filled with loads and loads of pink. Just pink everywhere. PINK PINK PINK GODDAMN PINK. The romance was incredible and was just so meaningful. Feyre and Tamlin are definitely OTP, but it's not only about that. Maas truly knows the fullest extent to love where there are no boundaries and one would do the impossible for the other and vise versa. She explores the romance between a mortal and a faerie, which was not encouraged by the setting considering how most humans fear the fae.

The slow and gradual build up to the relationships in this book had me squeezing my pillow at night and screaming into the alleys of the park. It was so tedious and quite frustrating to deal with the fact that from the start, I knew they would make a good couple, but unfortunately they didn't realize that until the end. I'd heard rumors that this book wasn't YA anymore so it was dipped with some intense sexual scenes here and there indicating the transition into NA. I couldn't be more content with the romance and the close relationship between Feyre and Tamlin.

Fantasy cannot get better than this! Read A Court of Thorns and Roses for swoony OTP's, superb world-building, characters with substance, and a fast-paced page-lifter. Maas' fandoms are wild and there are a bunch of people in the debate between Dorian and Chaol, so if anybody asks... I'M ROOTING FOR TAMLIN HAHA! I also heard this was supposed to be a series but by the way the first book ended, it looks okay to be a standalone. ALTHOUGH I NEED MORE TAMLIN!

Have you read ACOTAR? FANGIRL WITH ME, PLEASEE!!!

My TV-Show To-Be-Watched

I'm a Netflix addict and there are a bunch of TV shows just waiting to be watched! I do a number of TV Show/Film reviews that are those I've been binge-watching and loving right at the at moment. I seldom find the time for me to sit down to watch a new show that's been on my TBW for ages. I'm awaiting my summer vacation when I know I'll be able to watch Netflix all day!!

I've been getting into a lot of Marvel lately with the new Avengers movie and visiting Universal Studios a few weeks ago. I don't know much about this show but it's something that's got to change! I love how mysterious the banner is that they made it so plain Lol.

Also another Marvel show, Agent Carter is supposed to be centered around the SSR, Strategic Scientific Reserve. If I'm not mistaken the lady in the trailer looks a lot like the lady that was with Captain America in the CA movie. The girl that he fell in love with and all. A romance, action thriller. At least that's something different.

I have to say that this would be last on my TBW because of how cliche the plot is. A guy who runs fast, yippee! I mean, I know it's much more than that but the premise doesn't look that intriguing to me. The only reason it's on this list is because I have a bunch of friends who won't shut up about this show. I also realized after doing some research that the guy playing The Flash is so cute, like adorable :3

Have you guys have watched Criminal Minds? That was my favorite TV show as a kid and I highly recommend it. Ever since CSI:Cyber came out, I've been interested in a little technological twist between solving crimes and hacking computers. I love all things technology and futuristic aspects. So far I've only watched three episodes and am loving it because it really endorses in the aspect of using technology as the new "judge" for murders and crime-solving. These are some techy people!

These next two are zombie-related shows. You guys know how much I love my blood and guts! The Walking Dead has been the most raved about show since its premier and now there are like 4 seasons, so I'm just about ready for a binge-watch! In my lifetime, I've come to a conclusion that most movies about zombies have the worst zombie makeup ever. The Walking Dead, although a bit more gore-y, has definitely put in the extra buck to make their zombies look undead and spine-chilling.

MOST ANTICIPATED SHOW ON NETFLIX! IZombie, it sounds super amazing and unique, which is based off of a comic book series.

A girl attends a party thinking that she's there to have fun and live her life when zombies attack and next think you know, she's joining the army of the undead. My dad watches this every weekend, and I'm able to hear tiny snippets. The dialogue is extraordinarily funny and hilarious. Guys, it's a show you're going to want to watch when I get my review up!

Dylan O'Brien. Tyler Posey. Need I see more? But yeah, a show about teenager werewolves is kind of my jam these days with books and my TV Show review on Being Human. I'm so into that vampire & werewolf feud (I root for vampires btw). Teen Wold started forever ago but I wasn't interested in it at the time. Maybe when Summer vacation arrives, I'll have the time to actually sit down and marathon a billion season show.

I started this show when it first arrived on TV but quickly stopped watching it because the plot elevated for me and the characters got dull. Apparently while I was on my hiatus from this show, they got their act together and decided to make it more interesting. Now I have my friends from school telling me how much better the show got and how hot the guys are!

This show is about two girls who are switched at birth (duh!) until one of the girls realize it and arrange to meet her real parents. She doesn't like the outcome and she quickly learns the consequences with the long life ahead of her...

Remember when Emily Osment was in Hannah Montana as innocent little Lily? The good ole' days, the good ole' days. Now that she's so much older and more mature, she was cast in Young and Hungry this year and now it's a hit ABC family TV show about a chef making her way in NYC (or at least I think). This show is full of humor and laughs that will have you rolling on the floor laughing.

#TBT to when Emily Osment played Lily Truscot in Hannah Montana
Revenge follows a young girl, Emily, growing up as her father is accused for a murder he didn't commit. He was set up by this wealthy group of people in which she plans to get revenge on. The whole show follows her trying to ruin the lives of the people that falsely accused her father and got him killed in jail. Love and murder ensue.

I watched Revenge way back when but like I said with Switched At Birth, I was preoccupied with other things and wasn't able to appreciate it in all its glory. Revenge has come back full force with new seasons and new characters that I look forward to getting to know.

What shows are you looking forward to watching?
