Let's Discuss: Paper Towns Movie Trailer

When I found out that Cara Delevingne was going to be the lead role for Margo in Paper Towns by John Green, I was hit by a wave of surprise and just shock because I never knew she could act. As you tell, I'm a bit thrown off with the way they wanted to represent her as Margo- this calm, cool, and collected character. I really didn't know how this was going to turn out.

I believe this is Cara's first role in a movie which is a bit of a surprise since she's like freaking amazing in the trailer. Although I've never read Paper Towns, she really knows how to capture the many personalities of John Green's female characters he usually write about. Cara has the face of a model but the potential of an actor!!

If you haven't played the trailer already, just play it before it's too late! There are so many things I want to talk about and juicy things to spill about the relationship between Cara and Nat. OK OK so I totally ship Cara and Nat in the movie because hello?... they are adorable! I loved Nat from TFIOS and I'm glad he's back in for another John Green movie! I don't know about you guys but Cara looked a little shady as Margo when she crept into his bedroom in the middle of the night. This movie is going to be so epic, just like TFIOS was. It will be the movie adaptation of the century, well after Insurgent, of course because Four is BAE.

"Revenge plot begins." Those lines said by Cara really just put me in a good mood because guess what? MODELS CAN ACT TOO! She's perfect, absolutely awesome for this role and I totally support her fully in her movie. Eeek! I'm so excited!

Anyone else excited for the movie? What do you think of Cara's new role

  1. Wow, even I have to admit Cara is amazing in that trailer. I never she could act either. I only knew she was a model because my sister likes her. The trailer looks really interesting. The book didn't interest me much. Honestly, none of John Green's books interest me, including TFIOS when it came out in film. I'll consider watching Paper Towns. I'm doing this for Cara because her character totally won me over :D

  6. I haven't read Paper Towns and I don't think I'm going to because these days I'm not really enjoying the contemporary genre. But this movie looks cool and Cara seems like a fun person so, I'm really excited to watch it! I loved TFIOS movie and hopefully, this will be just as good!

P.S: I think you should watch this -->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOWTeQiaFv0 It made me like Cara even more!

  8. Wow~ That was just... wow! I read Paper Towns right after Looking for Alaska, and I didn't like them that much. It wasn't bad but I guess contemporary just isn't for me. But watching that trailer, I feel like my perspective on Paper Towns shifted completely. It definitely looks like the movie adaptation is going to be very interesting. And I'm really surprised too with Cara! As a model, I love her! I had no idea she could act. But then again, she looks exactly like how I imagined Margo :D haha

    1. Contemporary isn't my main genre either. The movie should be very very interesting, and I think I'm just going to stick with watching the movie rather than reading the book before the movie. I don't want my perceptions to be shattered.

  10. Waitt... Aren't they supposed to all be 17 or 18. The actors all look like they're in their mid-twenties. Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of John Green but, judging by the trailed, this seems like a very faithful adaptation, I think all of the scenes and dialogue are directly from the book, which I guess is pretty good if you're a fan of it. The movie seems pretty nice though. I might see it if I'm looking for some light fun, but at the end of the day I'm still not a massive John Green fan (even if he did introduce me to one of my favourite bands, Neutral Milk Hotel, who are amazing by the way).
