Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a Homecoming tiara. But after a strange run-in at the dance imbues her with incredible abilities, Harper's destiny takes a turn for the seriously weird. She becomes a Paladin, one of an ancient line of guardians with agility, super strength and lethal fighting instincts.

Just when life can't get any more disastrously crazy, Harper finds out who she's charged to protect: David Stark, school reporter, subject of a mysterious prophecy and possibly Harper's least favorite person. But things get complicated when Harper starts falling for him-- and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.

With snappy banter, cotillion dresses, non-stop action and a touch of magic, this new young adult series from bestseller Rachel Hawkins is going to make y'all beg for more.

About Lady Renegades
Just as Harper Price started coming to terms with her role as David Stark's battle-ready Paladin – and girlfriend – her world goes crazy all over again. Overwhelmed by his Oracle powers, David flees Pine Grove and starts turning teenaged girls into Paladins . . . and these young ladies seem to think that Harper is the enemy David needs to be protected from. Ordinarily, Harper would be able to fight off any Paladin who came her way, but her powers have been dwindling since David left town, which means her life is on the line yet again.

Praise for Rebel Belle and Miss Mayhem:

"Harper is as quippy as you please, with a sass born of a sharp surprising as it is delicious."
– Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books, STARRED REVIEW

"If Buffy the Vampire Slayer were Southern instead of SoCal, raised on good manners, Cotillion and sweet tea–she would be Harper Price." – Justine

"Hawkins strikes a pleasing balance between humor and drama, giving the 'chosen one' narrative a welcome dusting of irony and a glowing Southern setting." – Publishers Weekly

"This series–about an Alabama belle who is suddenly gifted with supernatural powers–has everything you could want from the genre and more: heart, smarts, scares, swoons and best of all, LAUGHS." – Kirkus Reviews

    1. I believe so! I also think the paperback of book 1 & 2 came out so those are much cheaper than the hardbacks :D

  2. I already read Rebel Belle and I really liked it! It's just so fun and hilarious, but also has fantastic ass-kicking moment. I really should continue to Miss Mayhem though, I don't know why it took me so long to read it!

    1. After reading Miss Mayhem, I really don't feel like continuing though! Yes, that's exactly how I felt when I read Rebel Belle.

  3. I've really wanted to read this. I'll have to pick up a copy soon. They look so good!

    1. They are beautiful! I've read them twice now and I don't like them as much as when I first read them.

  4. I must admit, I tried reading book one last year and struggled to get through it and ended up putting it down before I'd even reached half way. I just don't think I was in the mood at the time for a fun, paranormal type read. Now that I'm enjoying reading much more this year, I'll be placing it back upon my TBR and giving it another try. Thanks for sharing Alex <3

    1. That's alright! It's definitely not for everyone. No problem girl. I'm so glad you've decided to consider picking it up again :D

  5. I remember reading this book last year and loving the first one, and only feeling "meh" towards the second one. I hate leaving series unfinished so I will read Lady Renegades, but I am afraid that it won't be an enjoyable ending or won't do the first book justice.

    1. That's exactly my mindset for the third booK! I'm going to read it only because I'm curious as to how this series will end but I don't feel completely attached to it.

  6. I haven't read this one yet but I really want to! Sorry I've been suck a sucky follower.

    1. You're totally not! Don't you eva think that girl. I've just been blog hopping a ton and sometimes I miss people's posts as well <3
