Stacking the Shelves #10

After receiving a large amount of Barnes & Noble gift cards, I went on a legit book shopping spree. I went crazy and started lashing out at my parents to wait for me as I took 3 whole hours to choose out all these good books. I didn't waste all of it because if you didn't know I was saving some for the giveaway I posted.

  1. I wasn't a fan of Girl Online, it seemed too ordinary. I cant wait to read your review though :)

    1. Yeah I only purchased it because I was curious to read it from a Youtuber. I mean, I just wanted to read about all the hype.

  2. Out of these, I've only read Mortal Danger and Insurgent. I'm kind of curious about The Raven Boys, though. I can't wait to see what you think of the three books.

I kind of wanted to read Girl Online, but now with all the backlash and the fact that she used a ghostwriter, I don't feel like reading it. I feel like people deserve to be credited for what they do.

    Here's my Stacking the Shelves.

    1. I read Insurgent too LOL and it was amazing so I needed to purchase the collector's edition with the poster and the faction tattoos. I can't wait to read the Raven Boys. Katytastic from Youtube says it's one of her favorite series, and I love reading what she reads. Also I'm pretty sure The Raven Boys is a quartet, but I'm not sure when the last book is coming out.

I felt the same way about Girl Online, but I wanted to just for myself. I've been watching Zoella for some time now, and so I wanted to see if I could distinguish between her and the ghostwriter, if that makes any sense.

  3. I can really see why you would begin to get snappy at your parents while buying books, I always take ages to decide what I want to get. Thankfully, when I went on my vinyl and book shopping trip (wow, being a guy I actually never thought I would use that phrase in a positive context) I was on my own so I had plenty of time for my extreme indecision as to what books/records I would buy. Another problem I face when buying books is that in Dublin there are loads of great bookshops and record stores right beside each other so I always have to go into all of them before I make a final decision.

I've been thinking about giving The Raven Boys a go for a while. It doesn't look like something I would normally read but I think the library has a copy so I might try it out. I'll certainly be looking forward to see what you have to say about it!

  5. So many great books! I've heard a lot of positive things about Popular. I'm planning to read it, since it's a guide from another teen's point of view. Actually, I heard that she tried sitting at a different lunch table every day. So, for the first few months of school, I rotated tables every day, and now I try to rotate tables weekly/bi-weekly. I think it'll be interesting to see what she does and the impact. AND CONGRATS ON THE INSURGENT COLLECTOR'S COPY! It's a great book, and I think have a Collector's Copy will enhance the *aawwweessooommmee* factor even more. I have yet to spend my Christmas money, but I received Throne of Glass (which I LOVED), Fire with Fire, and Waistcoats and Weaponry among other titles. Enjoy your reads!:)
