I definitely feel this was a lot more on the contemporary side with strong political intrigue, that's why fantasy lovers didn't jump to give this book 5/5 stars :D I think you'd enjoy this one! Happy to see you loved this book, be...Great review! Happy to see you loved this book, because it is one I am really looking forward to reading (eventually--dang tbr). I'm excited for the political intrigue and princesses and f/f romance. Also, side note, I'm happy to see so many more f/f books being released because I feel like the lgbtqia+ scene in YA was dominated by m/m romance for a while. Anywaaaaay, I'm still easing into the fantasy genre, so I feel like the subdued fantastical elements like worldbuilding won't bother me all that much.
