Guide to a Perfect Movie Night + My Favorite Movie

What do I love doing more than reading? Probably watching movies and TV shows. Hello guys *waves*! Today I'm joined with Pure Flix, an online resource that shares family-friendly video-streaming content, to talk about what our idea of a perfect movie night looks like + some of my favorite movies! Pure Flix has hundreds of family-friendly titles of entertainment from animated, documentaries, how-to's, educational and so much more (basically you're all around Netflix that's more family and kid-oriented! They are currently offering a free, one month trial. If you would like to, you can check out more info about the trial here. But not to draw away from the main point of this post.. how to have the perfect movie night in, even if you choose to do so alone!

Life of Pi

If you haven't watched this movie, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFEEE? Life of Pi is my most rewatched movie of all time. This movie is laden with storytelling and so many details that enable the film to be watched so many times. Every time I rewatch this movie, I spot a detail or some apparent symbol that I missed the first time around. It's refreshing to feel so many different things after repeatedly watching the same movie.

The story itself is one of survival, family and friendship. For this one, you're definitely going to need that tissue box and/or pillow to cling on to. You're either going to be really anxious watching the characters go through many trials and tribulations or really sad because that ending though...

She's the Man

Light-hearted romantic comedy, fetus Channing Tatum and soccer players with their shirts off? This movie just about had it all. She's the Man will always reign as the top comedy film I've ever seen. I think everything about this movie was relatable to my life when I watched it because the characters were just as immature and head-over-heels-in-love-with-other-people as I was. Maybe I was just a bit young when I first saw this, I don't know. What I do know now, though because of this movie, is that you can use (SPOILER ALERT: HIGHLIGHT TO READ)tampons when you have a bloody nose :D

Those were only two of my favorite movies. Don't even get me started on TV shows (but if you wanted to know: The OA, Stranger Things, Vampire Diaries, Gilmore Girls, Quantico, Death Note (anime), and 13 Reasons Why). What are some of yours? Let me know in the comments section below!
